Miami Beach Gets a Facelift

Ahh...the fabulous Miami Beach. Where cosmetic surgery is as warranted as bringing dogs into retail stores. Everywhere you look, bodies are nipped and tucked, lines are smoothed out in an instant and facial features are chiseled for aesthetic beauty and forever flawlessness. And, if you take good look, you will even notice that the ground you walk on is going under the knife. Miami Beach's City Center Neighborhood, nestled between Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue from Lincoln Road to Dade Boulevard, is getting a facelift of its own and the Vice is in the middle of it all. The multi-million dollar project has been underway since last September, with total roadway reconstruction, including water main and sewer systems, restoration of sidewalks, decorative crosswalks and new landscaping throughout the entire neighborhood. M. Vila and Associates General Contractors along with the City of Miami Beach Capital Improvement Projects Office have teamed up to rejuvenate this historical neighborhood and smooth out the signs of aging. Residents, have no fear because the Vice is especially involved as Public Information Officer to keep bystanders well informed of this procedure. This is one prime facelift that one can benefit from without the painful recovery.

Whoa, Pizza!

While The Vice was on vacation it stumbled into this great find, hidden away in the lovely town of Breckenridge, Colorado.  The Pizza Parlor had such a great ambiance with its quaint little ice cream parlor on the first floor.  Oh, did we mention that the food was delicious too!  So, whenever you find yourself in the lookout for a tasty pizza and a great time  in the Rocky Mountains, we recommend you give the Pizza Parlor a visit.

Neo-Stained Glass that Glows in the Dark

Apsaras - "Moving in the Water"

When we think of stained glass, religious icons, ornate symbols and birds of paradise automatically come into mind. One has to wait for the sun to see the beautiful reflections and once nightfall, there are mere traces of brilliant craftsmanship. Well, The Vice found a solution to timeless stained glass and discovered one that shines, even in the dark. Artist Seth Mathurin is breaking boundaries and adding a spin on the classic stained glass, introducing it into the comfort of your own home with custom contemporary light decor installations. These one of a kind designs are built into your existing structure or hung on the wall to enhance any modern interior. His designs are exotic and if you let your imagination run wild, Seth will certainly be able to turn your concept into reality. Check it out at sethmathurin.com

Satisfying Palates with the Grove's Finest

While most Miamians were huddled by the space heater and steering clear from the surprise arctic blast, The Vice decided to suck it up, milk the winter weather and hit the streets to indulge in some culinary delights at The Great Taste of the Grove in Peacock Park. It was a delightful affair of popular restaurants, live entertainment and locals. The ultimate feast of decadent dishes like homemade Kobe meatballs by Crazy Pianos and yummy grilled churrasco from Los Rancheros. We managed to save room for warm hot chocolate and sweet deserts by Lucila. Bearing the weather was worth it, as this event was a perfect ending to a very cold week.
