Valentine’s Day is characterized for being a day to celebrate love.  It is mostly concentrating in the love for another person, but why stop there.  So many lovely things that deserve our attention and affection surround us; the beauty of a clear blue sky, the enchanting smell of fresh baked goods, the oh-so-good welcoming smiles of your pet.  The Vice promises to not fall victim this year of the Valentine’s Day gimmick and instead, enjoy the “love day” just loving everything.

Speed Dating is so 2009

Matchmaking is the new thing today. This past Thursday, December 17, 2009 Bordeaux wines held its national matchmaking and wine tasting event at Miami Beach’ Fountainebleau Hotel Blade Restaurant. But this is not your run of the mill couples-matching, Bordeaux has added an additional mix to the match and the whole purpose of the event is not to match you with a tall, dark and handsome/gorgeous individual, but actually to the wine that best complements you. Bordeaux also hosts this event in Boston, New York, Chicago and now, it is sunny Miami’s turn. 

The idea behind Bordeaux Matchmaking is to connect with other professionals and wine lovers in your community with one main purpose, enjoy fine wines that are available locally, and are under $25.  The event was made up of 10 tables, each with 4 wines from Bordeaux. Upon arrival, you were given a table number and offered 4 different types of wines.  What better way to bring people together, free wine, a posh venue and thrilling entertainment, it couldn’t get better than this.

Calling All Ladies… Fabulous Ladies

The Infinite Vice and Everything Nice is your one stop spot of what to see, where to go, who’s on top and everything else in between. 

And what better way to start off with our right foot than by introducing you with this great find!  

The Ladies Lounge A.K.A. LL, was founded in 2003 in Los Angeles to unite sassy, fabulous women in a casual social environment. And now Miami ladies are lucky to be able to have the LL experience with its recently launched Miami chapter. 

Monthly meetings explore topics ranging from goal setting and charity events to wine tasting and more. Sex and the City anyone?? Only thing missing is the coffee shop but why meet at one place when Miami’s scene boasts with a playground filled with infinite social hubs. 

International Wine and Cheese Pairing sessions, live jazz at the MOCA, summer BBQs at His House Children’s home for foster kids and City of Miami Beach Sleepless Nights are one of the few past events that LL Miami members have enjoyed.  Stay tuned for the upcoming December meeting when LL Miami will be sipping on hot cocoa and enjoying one funky Christmas night, while making knitting hip again.  Granny will be so jealous and proud at the same time!
